The Exodus narrative is one of the most foundational stories in Jewish tradition, recounting Israel's liberation from slavery in Egypt through divine intervention. The Israelites were enslaved under Pharaoh, enduring harsh labor and suffering. God appeared to Moses in the burning Bush, commissioning him to lead Israel out of bondage. God sent ten plagues to demonstrate His power and force Pharaoh to release the Israelites. The final plague, the death of the firstborn, led to Israel's freedom, marked by the institution of Passover.
